Who is Herr_Currywurst?

Herr_Currywurst is Kevin Dorissen, a German-language streamer who broadcasts on Twitch and has a YouTube channel full of Let's Plays going back around fourteen years. As of October 2026 he has about 111,000 followers on Twitch, roughly 309,000 YouTube subscribers and about 79,000 Instagram followers.

His channel is called the StreamWurstBude, the sausage stand, and he describes himself on Instagram as its official CEO. Most days he goes live for six to eight hours, mixing Just Chatting with whatever game suits the day, under stream titles written in a made-up Friday-night German that his regulars clearly speak fluently.

How did Herr_Currywurst start streaming?

Kevin's YouTube bio says he started making Let's Plays after watching someone else's for the first time and thinking it looked like fun enough to try. His oldest surviving uploads, from around 2012, are a Happy Wheels series (episode one is titled "Uglyface"), a run of Star Wars: The Old Republic videos and a handful of Call of Duty clan-war recordings.

The channel was not called Herr Currywurst yet. According to the fan site's FAQ, his original YouTube name was GEXIPROSNIPER, and that name is still in the address of his YouTube page. The FAQ gives a long, deliberately silly story about how a bad idea on the toilet became the sausage name, then admits it cannot say whether the story is true.

Over the following years the channel filled with German multiplayer series: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ranked matches, Garry's Mod Trouble in Terrorist Town, Battlefield, GTA Online, Until Dawn and Dead by Daylight. Several of those series ran under the HWSQ tag in their titles, such as a Dead by Daylight episode and an UNO episode numbered #172. YouTube now lists about 6,500 videos on the channel.

What is the StreamWurstBude?

The StreamWurstBude is both the name of the stream and a fan-run website, streamwurstbude.de, with a menu called the Speisekarte, a team page, chat commands, a birthday list for regulars, a list of Marbles on Stream track records kept by a viewer, and a Deal or No Deal winnings page. A viewer account named traeumchen_ gets credit for most of the stream schedules, and the site's graphics are credited to the artist Takiira.

Stream titles on Twitch follow a weekly rhythm. Monday is for starting the week, Tuesday is Vorglueh-Dienstag, Wednesday is Bergfest, Friday is Feierfreitag. The titles change every day but keep the same flame emoji frame and the same chat commands at the end.

His channel's game history is wide. The fan site's game list, which it says is incomplete and no longer updated, runs alphabetically from 100 Capitalist Cats and Among Us through Battlefield 6, ARC Raiders and Microsoft Flight Simulator. The FAQ lists flight-sim hardware, a Logitech wheel, an Oculus Rift S and a chest-strap heart-rate monitor.

Gamescom, Silent Hill and a 25-hour stream in 2026

In August 2026 Kevin streamed from Gamescom week on three consecutive days. The Twitch archive has them titled Gamescom Tag 1, Tag 2 and Tag 3, dated August 19, 20 and 21, each around seven hours long.

On September 26, 2026 he ran a 24-hour stream under the title 24STUNDEN BORATWURST & SHÄÄD. The archived broadcast runs 25 hours and 32 minutes and is split into 16 game and category chapters. The stream titles in the two weeks before it carried a !24 command, and the first stream afterwards, on October 2, was titled as an After-24er Feierfreitag with fresh alerts and emotes.

His YouTube channel is active too. Since late September 2026 he has been uploading a Silent Hill: Townfall series with English titles, five episodes by October 5, after he played the game live on Twitch in September.
