How did paybae start making videos?

Payton B has said she has been on YouTube since high school. In an interview with ShoutOut LA, she described the early channel as hair, makeup and college-transition videos.

She graduated from UCLA in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, according to the same interview, and the channel kept growing after she finished school. The interview also describes a change in direction toward more relaxed, personal videos, after which one upload passed a million views. At the time the channel had about 400,000 subscribers. She credits not quitting YouTube, and being more open with her subscribers, as the most important decision behind that growth.

Her YouTube page now lists 434 videos and 573,000 subscribers. Her most-watched uploads are about four to five years old, and her recent ones include a cooking and eating mukbang with fellow streamer Edri.

What does paybae stream on Twitch?

Her Twitch bio is one sentence: she streams a mix of gaming and IRL content and likes to get lit. The stream titles fill in the rest. A typical month on her videos page has a few Grand Theft Auto V nights, several Just Chatting streams, and a long run of cooking streams where guests such as Mayaregi, Chibu and bigex show up in the kitchen.

On the GTA side, one stream is titled "AYLA IN WCRP", which points to her roleplay character Ayla in the WCRP server. Her stream titles also carry a running subscriber goal in the "road to 1000 subbies" style, and some streams from September are tagged as Helix sponsorships.

Streams are long. Several of the recent Just Chatting broadcasts run past ten hours, and one September stream, a cosplay-outfit vote, ran for more than seventeen.
