Walk the actual route with the camera on. Watch for walls, bodies, metal, Wi-Fi access points, LED walls, and the places a roaming operator will turn their body or hide an antenna. Test program monitoring at the locations that matter, not beside the receiver table. Keep a wired path or a safe parked-camera plan for the shot that cannot disappear. Radio systems fail gradually often enough that the crew needs a clear threshold for abandoning the roaming shot.

Latency matters most when the camera follows sound

A local wireless link can feel perfectly usable for a wide camera and still be uncomfortable for a close interview, a drummer, or a handheld presenter if the return monitor and program audio are not aligned.
